We unmasked ICE, expanded access to mental health care and delivered funding to our community, and we have so much more to do!
I’m proud to be running for re-election and hope to earn your vote Tuesday, June 23!
Today was a heartbreaking tragedy. My thoughts are with the family of the teenage victim as they endure an unimaginable loss.
The horrific events of this week make it unequivocally clear that this dangerous and outdated practice must end. No family should have to suffer a tragedy like this. The cycle of harm, to both people and animals, must come to an end.
WE UNMASKED ICE! I introduced the MELT Act to unmask ICE agents and fight back against the unlawful immigration enforcement tactics targeting our communities without due process. Proud to see this major victory included in the final state budget.

NEW YORK WILL UNMASK ICE!
I introduced the MELT Act with a simple motivation. Stop masked agents from terrorizing our communities.
The budget immigration deal will make NY one of the strongest defenders against this federal abuse and lack of due process. Full story 🔗 in bio
Maybe not the biggest take-away of this race, but don’t miss that an unabashed pro-housing candidate took on an intense wave of nimby opposition and won big—in a district that includes the West Village, Chelsea, Hell’s Kitchen etc. Latest sign that we are in a new era of housing politics in NYC.
A long tradition of gay leadership will continue on the West Side of Manhattan after Carl Wilson declared victory in the New York City Council special election Tuesday night, up 17 points on his nearest challenger, Lindsey Boylan. @Annie_McDonough reports:

Thank you @GovKathyHochul for support of the MELT Act!
Masked secret police have no place on our streets! New York will hold those who terrorize our communities accountable.
"It's literally a pit!" – Leslie Knope
The Penn Station area feels like a pit—stalled, outdated, and stuck in limbo.
But we have an opportunity to dig out of New York’s housing shortage:
Update the GPP to build nearly 5,000 homes, a 24/7 neighborhood, and a world-class park.
this is one of the most despicable NIMBY crusades I have ever seen:
Millionaire homeowners in Chelsea (and, for some reason, Jack Schlossberg) are sponsoring lawsuits against rebuilding an 80 year old NYCHA campus, forcing tenants to live in dilapidated housing indefinitely
Pro trump right wing activists are raising the issue of government officials interfering with physical interactions with children. Let’s discuss. #EpsteinClass
This is extremely disappointing to see
Every New Yorker has a right to live in dignity!
Gatekeeping new homes solely for the well to do is not the New York I believe in
