@johncutlefish Could even happen between teams in the same org.
Or, within the same team on different codebase. The latter one I would contribute to tech-debt mostly, not limited to that though.
Just got called a "Natural born leader" in our half-yearly feedback events... honoured as I am. I don't believe anyone is born as a leader.
Now the next step, help new developers get a comment like that too!

@codeopinion@lxztlr@jamesmh_dev 2/2 Having said that, I shouldn't be the only person able to answer questions, so I urge people to ask questions in our team chat.
And within our team there's usually 2 or 3 persons that can answer questions that way.
Hope that would explain our dynamic better.
@codeopinion@lxztlr@jamesmh_dev 1/2 Probably I should have said, I appear to be offline, so I do have my client open.
I do check-in in the morning, and I usually start at 08:00, meaning that I am there and can answer questions, and around 16:30 or 17:00 I check-out.
@lxztlr@jamesmh_dev@codeopinion This could be describing the previous company I worked for. Micromanaging was the norm, trust was nowhere to be found, so glad I left
Usually I'm offline, but I do check-in in the morning and checkout when leaving. A bit of old irc etiquette I guess
Every morning when you start work, say hi to your colleagues in your online chat, and every afternoon when you stop working say goodbye. This clearly communicates to everyone whether you're available for work-related communication #workingfromhome
