Manchester United were shafted by an absolutely dreadful VAR decision, but their own performance was atrocious and shameful for a derby. No quality, no fight and constantly over hit basic passes and crosses. A bad start to the season gets even worse.

I'm genuinely baffled by this one.

Forget Haaland for a moment. Look at Enzo Fernández.

He's in an offside position and, in my view, clearly attempts to play the ball and impacts the situation. That's precisely why the offside law matters here.

VAR has had the opportunity to examine this from multiple angles and still allowed it.

For me, that's a massive VAR error.
