I, just, can't.
But this also reiterates the point that we still 5-6 high quality starting XI level players to have a squad to compete week in week out.
Not to look over to the envious blue side, see how they sailed without KDB like it was nothing.
The project needs MORE.
🔴🇦🇷 Ten Hag on Lisandro injury.
“It seems bad… now we can only pray”.
“We wait for the tests but we are really sad. It looks like he has to sit some games out injured again”.
Is it that time of the season where Rashford plays like prime Ronaldo and everything just falls into place?
Wouldn't mind it one bit even if it's for a month or so.

I want a really convincing explanation of why Mainoo was subbed for Mctominay from Ten Hag & it still won't be enough. Only place Mctominay can be useful is #9 when all your ST are unavailable. Float around & play Mario in box jumping up and down hoping for a cent.

It's hard to see with 2 pathetic goals conceded.
But if you look closer, it's clear what parts work (still).
There is hope after all for an optimist.

Ole's approach worked for a good while as he understood who his best players are (and few) & never compromised on their strongest position & attribute.
He didn't have the holding midfielder - he put two to manage the job together so that Bruno remains in a free #10 role
Rashford off left, Martial staying up as poacher, Bruno behind, Shaw on left. Only advantage he had was MG on right.
Highest output of those players was good enough to drive the avg output of team in most games. We never looked like we couldn't score 1 goal or even 2 when required.
Rest of the team had one job - defend & prevent goals as much as possible till we had players who could do more than 1 job.
Now reflect on Ten Hag - Season 1/2
1 had a holding midfielder & Rashford was maximized
2 doesn't have a stable 6 behind - injuries & front 4 not being maximized in their suited roles

As I said. This setup is what we need for the right balance and then just individuals raising their game in Ten Hag's system.
When all fit, below would be my starting XI
Onana
Wan Bissaka
Varane/Maguire (depending on form)
Martinez
Shaw
Casemiro
Mainoo
Bruno
Garnacho/Antony (our weakest role fit after all these years)
Rashford
Hojlund
@DavidSchroder I would agree given the current status but Rashford with Shaw consistently at LB would be better in my opinion. Garnacho's decision making still needs time & maturity.
@YoussefTarraf1 Is tracking back your marker related to which wing you are starting on? Also in a separate post I did say we need to isolate real problems by first playing players in their best position & rol
Out of form players used to put in extra work off the ball to keep them relevant. He won't be shitting around like this if he was competing against Saka, Salah, Diaz, Doku for his position in the squad.
Not that many others were good today but your "key" highly paid players have to lead from the front or what's the high salary for? After parties?
