@Masterflip_ The problem is Manaeas current stuff has no chance at this level. Luis’s still plays, so at least he has a chance to right the ship. Would love it, just no chance they agree to it
@TheMetsX The answer is obvious. Why is it so hard to understand that the trade was a bad contract swap. They weren’t expecting Semien to get back into old form, they just projected Nimmo would age worse, with more years and money to have to eat
The New York Jets are an absolute embarrassment to all of Sport
I genuinely feel bad for their fans, they don’t deserve to be accustomed to such misery
Ownership should be forced into a Sale for how terrible every decision they make is
They should be ashamed of themselves.
We replaced fucking Pete Alonso with literally Juan Soto on a team that just came off the NLCS and people are acting like the sky is falling. This is why the Jets suck. They actually listen to you assholes
4th most targeted player in the NFL.
Top 5 most targets in NFL since he broke in. Behind only HOFs like Cheetah & Tae. And ahead of HOFs like Jettas 🤦🏼♂️
If he’s sad & complaining about his targets, he ain’t the dude I swore he was coming out.
And the QBs answered literally every question perfect. If you personally don’t like him, just write that 🤣
- “Are you willing to mentor a young QB should the Jets take one?”
“Of course. I want a guy to come in and be made to feel comfortable. I know what it’s like to be the young guy behind a HOF’er”
- “Would you be willing to take another pay cut to stay next year?”
“Absolutely. I’ve made a lot of money. I’m open to anything.” (After he gave $35M back last yr for the team)
And, he’s gonna rewrite the Jets QB record book this yr, on a “down yr”, off a torn achilles.
He’s so “Toxic”! 🤣
Justin Steele was told to go wash his hands after the umpire felt a sticky substance on his hand.
It’s the same umpire that tossed Edwin Diaz immediately with no opportunity to wash his hands.
It just doesn’t make sense.
Concerning stuff from Mets rookie Manager Carlos Mendoza last night.
After the game, he was asked by reporters: Why is Francisco Lindor struggling so mightily?
To which he gave an ‘inside baseball’ answer that MIGHT fool some people who don’t truly know the game:
“He’s not keeping his front shoulder closed the way he knows he can.”
Sure, that’s a thing as a hitter, but that’s not Lindor’s SPECIFIC problem right now. Here’s the REAL breakdown, from someone who actually knows the game:
1. ‘The Book’ is out on Lindor: Pound him with first-pitch strike fastballs, just a tick up in the zone.
2. Lindor is consistently taking first-pitch strikes, trying to ‘settle into his at bats’ which CLEARLY isn’t working for him.
3. This is off the top of my head, but when a pitcher gets a first-pitch strike, batting average drops from .280 to .200 (as opposed to the batter going up 1-0).
4. And yet? Lindor makes ZERO adjustments. It’s like he can’t think on his feet. Anyone watching knows he can’t hit when it’s 0-1 or 0-2 in the count. Why can’t he look in the mirror and hit a first-pitch strike, right over the plate?
5. Lindor is a horrible left-handed hitter. Zero bat speed. He was never good… but now he’s 30 years old and even worse.
6. I’ve been writing for years: If you don’t hang breaking balls, in, to Lindor - HE WILL NOT BE ABLE TO HIT LEFT-HANDED.
7. Finally… other MLB teams have realized that. They are pounding him with fastballs and stuff up and away. Lindor is short, with short arms and a slow bat… he can’t hit 95-102 mph with any type of consistency.
Teams have finally figured out what I’ve known for years: Lindor made his living during a time when a lot of starters in his division were throwing 90-93 mph. Nowadays? Too many guys throwing 95+ for Lindor to have any type of positive consistency.
Those are the REAL facts. I wonder if Mendoza or David Stearns or Steve Cohen even realize.
Francisco Lindor:
Babe Ruth when the games don’t matter.
Rey Ordonez when they mean something.
Most overrated player in Mets & MLB history.
Absolute trash. 🗑️🗑️🗑️
Most career games with 95+ rush yards and 95+ rec yards
Games Played
Walter Payton 3 190
Breece Hall 2 22*
Priest Holmes 2 113
Brian Westbrook 2 121
Larry Brown 2 102
Thurman Thomas 2 182
*👀
Breece Hall - in his second season - just recorded his 2nd career game with 95+ rushing yards and 95+ receiving yards.
In their careers:
Walter Payton had 3 such games.
Brian Westbrook, Priest Holmes, Thurman Thomas and Larry Brown had 2.
No one else has more than 1.
Sauce Gardner on the BS holding call:
“The receiver ran into me, there was a collision, same thing that was happening all game, & they threw no flags. Pat threw the ball outside the receiver, MC was there, he made the play, then the ref threw the flag. Me personally, that’s like when you play basketball 1-on-1 & you go up to lay the ball up & you wait to see you miss, & then say foul. I can’t believe that. I don’t even know what to say.”
#Jets | #TakeFlight
Jermaine Johnson was held multiple times in last nights game with not one being called, but the worst has to be this one below when Mahomes gets a crucial huge run for a 1st down while Jermaine is being blatantly held. Jermaine even throws his hand up in the air, & this was literally right in front of a ref
And of course that BS holding call on Sauce Gardner that was a #Jets INT by Michael Carter II, thrown after the INT with no holding whatsoever
We should have won that game. We beat the Super Bowl champions, but @NFLOfficiating gifted them the game on numerous & obvious occasions
This is BEYOND unacceptable. This has been happening to us for years, but yesterday it was so obvious
So many people have shown all the BS calls & missed calls against us already
@NFL you MUST do something about this. You haven’t in the past. If you stay quiet & complicit, it will just prove something horrible:
Maybe not completely, but that this sport is rigged to a certain extent…& that’s just f***ing horrible
