The Genomics Core is excited to announce our upcoming NGS library prep workshop. The workshop will be an all-day event (9am - 5pm) on Tuesday, Aug 4. Cost to attend is $80.

The workshop will offer both lecture and hands-on training.

The GTC now uses a short survey for researchers to complete when requesting services. The survey collects all of the information required to initiate a project with the core and ensures that core staff are properly notified.

The Genomics Core will close noon Wednesday through Friday (Nov. 26-28) in observance of the Thanksgiving Holiday. Normal hours will resume on Dec 1. Sanger sequencing orders received by 2 pm on Tuesday (11/25) will have data available by Wednesday noon. Happy Thanksgiving!

GTC will be closed winter break beginning Tuesday, Dec 24 at noon. Normal core hours resume Jan 2.

Sanger users–samples submitted by 2pm on Monday, Dec 23 will be processed, and data returned the next day. Samples received after this time will be processed on Thursday, Jan 2.

The GTC stockroom will be permanently closing Oct 31. Special orders will be accepted until Sept 27. Availability of 1.5ml tubes for Sanger sequence submissions will continue. Primer orders through the core portal with delivery to the core will also continue uninterrupted.

NovaSeq X now in production and generating data! The NovaSeq X offers Illumina's most advanced sequencer while dramatically lowering costs. The 25B flow cell introduces a 2.5-fold increase in output while the XLEAP-SBS chemistry delivers increased speed and greater fidelity.

The Enzyme Freezer Program will be closed Monday, May 20th– Friday, May 24th. Please place orders this week to acquire any needed items from the stockroom. The closure will not impact distribution of primer orders.
