Hate to say this, but one reason India struggles with manufacturing is that it's hard to find reliable people to work with. Nobody seems serious about work.

The lower you go in the manufacturing chain, the more common it is to see delays, lack of commitment, poor discipline, and people simply not taking work seriously. I've seen people take advances and then disappear.

A single city in China can produce as much as what we are producing today.
