ON THIS DAY... Sixteen years ago on June 25, 2009, the King of Pop passed away after suffering heart failure in his Beverly Hills home. R.I.P Michael Jackson🕊️🤍

.@PostMalone and @SwaeLee's "Sunflower" is now the #1 most streamed song of all-time in the US (3.96 billion).
It surpasses @LilNasX's "Old Town Road".
Can #GenerativeAI kill music?
#AI is now capable of generating music from a simple prompt, and generative AI is increasingly perceived as a threat by human artists. Real ethical questions are being raised.
Whether in music, but also in all the arts where generative AI 'creates ', thanks to the training of its models on data created by humans, it has become essential to protect - through regulations, thought out and developed not just by big techs but by all the players in our society - the interests of authors, composers and publishers by ensuring that their work is not used to develop AI technologies without a fair legal and financial framework.
As far as I'm concerned, as long as a #robot can't play like Orianthi - live on the video below - , the human touch, improvisation (and technique, wow!), feeling, an artistic performance that carries the audience along to the rhythm of emotions, as long as a machine can't reproduce all these human emotions (and today we're a long, long way from it! ;)), then music still has a bright future ahead of it, and that's good news!
Go and see concerts, dance, have a drink, have fun, share good time - generative AI still can't do it for you!
