Defense Streamers for Week 8
- Cincinnati Bengals v. TEN
- Jacksonville Jaguars v. IND
- New England Patriots v. MIA
- Las Vegas Raiders v. NYJ
- Kansas City Chiefs v. DEN
11. Makai Lemon (48% available): Lemon had his breakout game with Devonta Smith and Dontayvion Wicks out with INJ: 7/8 rec | 67 yd | 1 TD.
Lemon is a first-round rookie with playmaking ability who is earning opportunities (~7 tgt/gm over the last 4 gms). That kind of volume is worth investing into, especially if Smith and Wicks miss more time.
10. Elijah Mitchell (99.9% available): With Saquon Barkley and Dameon Pierce both dealing with injuries, Mitchell is suddenly worth monitoring in Philadelphia.
He was elevated from the practice squad for Week 7, and if both backs miss time, Mitchell could find himself in a much bigger role than anyone anticipated. Mitchell has had success in the NFL and is worth a look as we await more INJ news.
9. Mason Taylor (99.7% available): Taylor is a deep-league streaming option, but the recent usage is encouraging. He has caught at least four passes on six targets in back-to-back games and scored twice in Week 7. He’s outplaying rookie Kenyon Sadiq.
I’m not expecting him to suddenly become an every-week starter, but the targets and red-zone production make him worth a look if you’re desperate at tight end. He’s a cheap upside play with almost no roster cost.
8. Chig Okonkwo (83% available): If you need help at tight end, Chig deserves a look. He caught 7 rec | 69 yd in Week 6, leading Washington in both receptions and receiving yards.
With McLaurin out for the season, there’s room for Chig to become a more consistent part of Jayden Daniels’ passing attack. He’s had at least four catches and 60 receiving yards in consecutive games. In PPR formats, that kind of volume is worth targeting at a position where consistency is hard to find.
7. Seth McGowan (93% available): McGowan is a deeper-league stash worth monitoring. He just set career highs with 11 car | 46 yd and added a reception.
Jonathan Taylor is still ahead of him, so the immediate ceiling is limited. But if Taylor’s name continues coming up in trade discussions, McGowan could suddenly become a much more valuable fantasy asset. I’m willing to get ahead of that possibility.
6. Jonah Coleman (65% available): Coleman returned from injury and immediately led Denver in carries, finishing with 9 car | 54 yd | 2 rec | 15 yd.
Sean Payton has already said they need to get him more touches, and he looks like he fits the bill to be the lead in the DEN committee.
5. Kaelon Black (72% available): Black is becoming more than just a handcuff. He played 47% of San Francisco’s offensive snaps in Week 7 and finished with 63 ru yd | 1 TD.
He’s shown he can contribute even with Christian McCaffrey in the picture, giving him standalone value alongside significant upside if McCaffrey misses time. The 49ers are on bye in Week 8, so think of this as a rest-of-season investment.
4. Jordyn Tyson (51% available): Tyson is a stash for managers who can afford to be patient. The former eighth overall pick has the draft capital and talent to become a difference-maker, but the hamstring injury has delayed his NFL debut.
He isn’t an immediate solution for Week 8, and the Saints are on bye. But if you have an open bench spot, this is the type of upside I want to invest in before he gets healthy and starts producing.
3. Antonio Williams (92% available): With Terry McLaurin expected to miss the rest of the season, Williams has a real opportunity to earn a much bigger role in Washington’s passing game.
He already has 18 rec | 205 yd and a touchdown this season, and his route share increased after McLaurin went down. An expanded role should give him a real opportunity to show out.
2. Omar Cooper JR (52% available): Cooper is one of my favorite adds this week. He has back-to-back 100+ yard games, totaling 11 rec | 218 yd | 2 TD over his last two.
He’s making big plays, earning targets and establishing himself as a legitimate option in this passing game. He’s the NYJ WR2 over Adonai Mitchell.
1. KC Concepcion (40% available): If Concepcion is somehow still available in your league, go get him. He just exploded for 8 rec | 129 yd, adding 3 car | 23 yd on the ground.
He’s now seen at least six targets in five of his last six games, and he’s making a case to become Cleveland’s top receiving option. The talent and versatility are there. This could be the beginning of a true breakout.
