@Ellis_ What would that achieve? We'd still have to pay him his wages under the contract and the transfer fee is still on the books for this season plus next thanks to the amortisation.
@utdHarryy How does what you're saying contradict what he said? There are lots of players who want to play for United, that doesn't mean they're all good enough. The club are trying for targets they think fit both, and getting frustrated by other factors.
@FPLfrasier If we'd been taken over by a state-backed oligarch instead of INEOS, you'd have been down outside Old Trafford dancing about in a robe and head scarf like those shameless Newcastle fans after the Saudi's bought their club.
@FPLfrasier We were desperate for the club to deal with the leaks for years, this is just a consequence of that. These guys can only report what their sources say.
@UTDKeanoo Andy Mitten - INEOS press? Get a grip of yourself. Also you are disrespecting Carrick at the same time. You want him to be grilled by some journo so it makes his job way harder just for some quotes that make you feel better?
@FPLfrasier We owe hundreds of millions in transfer installments, we've got a more expensive pile of debt to service and still use a credit card to spend cash, and we still have to get approval from the Glazers for basically everything. No wonder things are moving slower than we'd like
@IanM1st Every other club is still making big signings at this point. City are in the process of trying to sign Bouaddi and Fernandez while selling Rodri. Chelsea have signed a dozen players. LV are still messing about with Barcola. Really shouldn't be a big concern.
@DiabolicalDuck8@gboye56@JeffriesOliver@Muppetiers@EvkProductions I listed them because you listed them first. These three players you've just mentioned, none of them were INEOS buys, and you can't move crap players on high wages as you know, hence the whole focus on controlling player wages. Even then, they sold Hojland literally this window!
@DiabolicalDuck8@gboye56@JeffriesOliver@Muppetiers@EvkProductions I also don't know what players you're saying are flops, certainly we've had some but you listed like Licha, Bruno and Dorgu before, in what way are any of them flops? If you're pissed we haven't sold Dorgu, who's been at the club no time at all and clearly has potential, then idk
@DiabolicalDuck8@gboye56@JeffriesOliver@Muppetiers@EvkProductions I mean you care because this whole argument started because you griped INEOS don't get enough flack. Yeah we haven't been amazing sellers, it's not an instant fix, and we've had some successes under INEOS already. But to sell well you have to recruit well.
@DiabolicalDuck8@gboye56@JeffriesOliver@Muppetiers@EvkProductions Sorry mate, but you are totally on your own with that list of players. You do not have a huge group of fans thinking we should have sold any of them other than Rashford, but not INEOS' fault he's on 300k a week, and they've gotten him 2 loans.
@DiabolicalDuck8@gboye56@JeffriesOliver@Muppetiers@EvkProductions There was an enormous blow-up like 2 weeks ago where people were getting their season tickets canceled. That went on INEOS. How did you miss that? They also get a huge amount of heat for being Glazer enablers and for not pushing the boat out in transfers this window.
@gboye56@JeffriesOliver@Muppetiers@EvkProductions The alternative was the Glazers just don't sell. They've never cared about financial stability or investing to win. So they would have waited for a few years and revisited. Remember, buying United and running it has cost them nothing, they could make huge profit any time.
@DiabolicalDuck8@gboye56@JeffriesOliver@Muppetiers@EvkProductions I don't know what world you've been loving in but there is a lot of hate for INEOS and Ratcliffe out there among the fanbase. The whole season ticket cancellation fiasco like a few weeks ago? Glazers also totally deserve most of the blame anyway, it's not unfair what they get.
