@Cpl_Mack@RoysWinBigly I don't automatically assume everybody I need is racist, but I am keenly aware that it exists everywhere. Maybe that is a slight distinction.
Look, I'm a Chiefs fan. Always have been, despite the Native American iconography and the chant I hate (and I write a letter to the Chiefs every year).
Signing guys like Tucker are exactly the kind of thing that could get me to stop being a fan. I mean, WTF are we doing?
I've gone above board with a couple of my responses. So I do apologize for that.
For the rest of you who don't like the fact that I'm uncomfortable with my fandom at times, or in this situation, I hope you have a blissful binary life without having to think deeply.
To all of the unhinged responders and hateful dms, thank you very much for your unbalanced responses to what is an opinion. You don't have to like it. But you don't have to attack me for it either.
That is certainly a choice. Then again, it's twitter, so what was I expecting?
@Cpl_Mack@RoysWinBigly Left in me, I don't believe that is true. And that's why I keep working. I probably overreacted to some of these comments, however some of them have been personal attacks and I've gotten insane DMS as well.
@Cpl_Mack@RoysWinBigly That's where we disagree. Yes, I was raised in rural Missouri north of Kansas city, and racism was absolutely everywhere. It gets in you and it takes effort to make it go away. It takes a lot of work actually. And while I would like to say yes I'm perfect and don't have any
@Cpl_Mack@RoysWinBigly So, you're right, I shouldn't have I assumed that you are Maga. As far as the racism thing? Racism is everywhere, in us around us and in practically everything we do, so pointing that out is not out of line. But I apologize for being reactive to your ridiculous response.
@HausenKS so you're stuck on the NAME. I'm talking about everything else. The iconography, the chant, the logo, the 'war drum'.
That's not European culture, whether Bartle was named an 'honorary Chief' or not.
@HausenKS@Chiefs247365 The name? Sure, I concede. Nothing wrong with the name. The appropriation is not ok.
Would it be ok if we all came in red face? Or if it were named after a black person, black face?
@Chiefs247365@HausenKS Sure, if it were the Chiefs but without the cultural appropriation? Fine.
It's why, though, you and I have talked about a new name for the new stadium, and Wolf or Wolves makes a TON of sense....
Since I've triggered enough people on here today:

@HausenKS IF that were true, then explain the Native American stuff without racism and appropriation?
Just a happy bonus to the 'Chief' dude?
Or maybe you are right. Some 'Chief'. It doesn't excuse the rest.
@HausenKS Am I perfect? hell no. But I do work on things like anti-racism and removing inherent biases.
It's not the path for everyone, but it is for me.
And it can be messy. 3/4
