Our annual ratepayer appreciation Pancake Breakfast is coming up a little earlier, and extra special. The County has now contributed more than $500,000 to @STARSambulance , and guests will witness the official unveiling of a helicopter featuring the Mountain View County logo.
May 19 - the Fire Ban throughout MVC has been downgraded to a Fire Restriction. Due to moisture in some parts of the County over the past 72 hours, Wildfire RWF-036-2026 being transitioned to a "being held" state and favorable conditions forecasted for the remainder of the week.

Effective immediately, May 15, 2026, the Fire Restriction currently in place for Mountain View County has been upgraded to a FIRE BAN throughout the County. The Fire Ban is in place until further notice.
