"Sources say Amazon execs were concerned that Gero's take on the series would not have broad appeal beyond the franchise's already dedicated fanbase."
BUILD FOR THE FANBASE THERE IS, NOT FOR THE FANBASE YOU COULD HAVE. If you do make a good series, THE FANBASE will advertise.
EXCLUSIVE: The new "Stargate" TV series has been axed at Amazon.
The show was first announced with a series order in November 2025 and hailed from showrunner Martin Gero, who was a writer on "Stargate SG-1" and "Stargate: Atlantis." Sources say Amazon execs were concerned that Gero's take on the series would not have broad appeal beyond the franchise's already dedicated fanbase.

@BTV_Cast I'll be honest. I expect it to be ready this year. But seeing what big slugger is listed at the end of the year I fear it could be overshadowed. Even if it's different genres they could use a lot of media traction that a good release of SQ42 could give.
Hey Citizens,
Thoroughly enjoyed the Bar Citizen in Rotterdam this weekend, but I need to remind everyone who attend these that while the INFO of what’s discussed can and should be shared with the world who can’t attend, secretly recording without our consent is a violation of trust and will not be tolerated.
Please don’t do this. It’s gross and will ruin it for others when folks like me stop attending.
@DarthKalani Yeh, it's the game most of all... Bugs ...
I've had my fully loaded c2 spawn inside the planet. But because i still had a mill left I'm bouncing back from it fast.
As someone who worked as a gaming journalist for 25+ years, I've been extremely appalled by the way many of my colleagues have covered Star Citizen. Instead of celebrating the achievements of a legendary developer and the fact that gamers themselves are directly keeping a thousand developers employed with their funding (in a period in which so many are getting laid off), they have tried everything in their power to peddle controversy.
I can guarantee many of them know nothing about the game besides what they read on social media. They haven't even tried a free fly event.
I have a feeling that the gaming press will have to eat a large portion of crow about this, but I doubt that many will have the intellectual honesty required to admit that they have been wrong all along. 🤔
Unlike some people I wasn't able to get the #StarCitizen Odin.
But for the stream we'll do something lower energy, chill.
Librarian! Let's clean up books.

Sony Interactive Entertainment has filed a new patent that could make waiting in games less boring. The idea is to show picture-in-picture content on the screen during loading times, matchmaking, or other delays.
Instead of only showing a loading screen, players could watch useful content while they wait. This may include gameplay tips, story recaps, livestreams, tutorials, mini-games, or community videos.
>Players could see extra content while games load or search for matches.
>Content may include tips, videos, tutorials, and live streams.
>The feature could help new players learn the game faster.
>Some gamers are worried it could later be used for ads.
no, players dint want a game to fail, they want developers to make better games and sadly the only way to "talk" to the inflated ego of modern aaa games developer is to hit them in the wallet where it hurts through numerous "bad reviews" and pointing out the flaws.
just make good games.
