We honor the life and service of Marysville Police Officer Don Arndt.
59 years ago, on Feb. 5, 1966, our department lost Officer Arndt when he was shot and killed in the line of duty. He served the Marysville community for 8 years, and his legacy will never be forgotten.

March 20, 1891 Marysville was incorporated as as a fourth class city, and Mark Swinnerton was elected as our first mayor.
133 years later, our residents still have that pioneer spirit that helped establish a city on the slough.

On this day 132 years ago, our favorite little town was officially incorporated as a fourth-class city. Here is a picture of what Marysville looked like in 1891. This was taken at the corner of Ash Ave and Front Street (now First Street).
