@HuskerBaseball sweeps @USC_Baseball two run rule wins over what was one of the best pitching staffs in the country. USC makes a lot of fielding errors & threw a lot of wild pitches, especially for a top 10-15 team. I think the crowd really affected them. If this #Huskers team can get a regional, look out. This is a really good team. @BaseballAmerica #GBR #B1G

Week 12 is over and there were upsets again that affect the rankings. Some movement within the poll and some new teams from 23-25.
In the Big Ten, there were lots of blowout wins, Ohio State, Indiana, Oregon, & Illinois won handily. Penn St pulled away late in the 4th Quarter to beat Michigan St., USC came back from 14 down to beat Iowa, & Michigan needed a walk off FG to beat Northwestern. The Big Ten will get 3 teams in, but has a chance still at 5 if USC & Michigan win out.
In the ACC Georgia Tech needed a FG with 12 seconds left to beat BC, Virginia dominated Duke, and this gives both w/ 1 conference game to play the inside track at playing for a conference Championship. Clemson upset Louisville, Miami crushed NC State, ND whipped Pitt, Wake Forest beat UNC, and Florida St dominate Virginia Tech. The ACC could get 2 teams in the playoff if Miami wins out plus the Conference Championship Game winner.
In the Big 12, Texas Tech & BYU won big and it looks as though they will rematch in the Big 12 Conference Championship Game. Utah destroyed Baylor, Arizona upset Cincinnati and might have knocked the Bearcats out of the Conference Championship game. Kansas St & Arizona St both survived their games. The Big 12 still has a shot at 2 teams getting into the Playoff.
In the SEC Texas A&M came back from down 27 at halftime to beat South Carolina by a point. Oklahoma rolled into Alabama & pulled off the upset. Georgia dominated the 4th Quarter to beat Texas by 25, Ole Miss survived a game Florida team, Missouri whipped Mississippi St., LSU defeated Arkansas by a point, Tennessee & Kentucky both won big against inferior competition out of conference. The SEC still has a real shot at getting 5 teams in the Playoff
In the group of 5 James Madison & North Texas win big, Tulane beat FAU, East Carolina upset Memphis, and Navy upset USF, probably ending their hopes for the Playoff. If JMU wins out, they should be the G5 representative in the playoff.
Notre Dame whipped Pitt and will be in the playoff if they win out.

Week 10 is over and there is more shuffling in the top 10 & top 25. 3 top ten teams lost this weekend and the ACC really was hurt by losses by GA Tech & Miami. The ACC might only get 1 team in the playoff.
In the Big Ten USC kept its hopes alive for a conference championship & the playoff w/ a comeback win over Nebraska after the Huskers lost their starting QB. Ohio State dominated Penn State, Indiana destroyed Maryland, Michigan survived Purdue, Minnesota beat Michigan State in OT and Illinois whipped Rutgers.
In the ACC Ga. Tech lost at NC State, as their defense had no answers for the Wolfpack offense. SMU upset Miami in OT. Miami just can’t seem to win when needed in November. Virginia survived Cal and is still unbeaten in conference. Duke beat Clemson in a shootout. Dabo needs to really look at the players he’s bringing in. Louisville came from behind to beat Virginia Tech & has a really favorable schedule to get to 11-1. FSU crushed a Wake Forest team that many were thinking was pretty good. North Carolina & Bill Belichick got their 1st ACC win over Syracuse. Pitt kept rolling out at Stanford. The schedule ramps up in November for the Panthers, and they have a chance to cause some chaos. Notre Dame beat Boston College, but it was a struggle.
In the Big 12, Arizona State beat Iowa State, Texas Tech beat up on Kansas St, Utah thumped Cincinatti, Kansas beat Oklahoma St, Colorado was destroyed by Arizona, West Virginia upset Houston at Houston, and Baylor beat UCF. BYU is the only unbeaten left in conference. Next week though they play at Texas Tech in the biggest game of the week. There is a decent chance they play again for the conference championship in Dec.
In the SEC Oklahoma went into Tennessee & got a win and essentially knocked the Vols out of playoff contention. Texas & Arch Manning played a great offensive game & held off Vanderbilt. Georgia survived Florida, Kentucky upset Auburn & might have cost Hugh Freeze his job, and Ole Miss defeated South Carolina. Mississippi St finally got that SEC win by winning at Arkansas.
In the group of 5 Memphis got another big win, James Madison kept rolling, North Texas beat Navy & really exposed their defense. In the Mountain West, Boise State got whooped at home by Fresno State and are probably out of playoff contention. San Diego St on the other hand has a schedule where they can finish 11-1 before the MW Championship game. SDSU has a real shot at the Playoff. Tulane lost badly to UTSA and is probably out of contention for the playoffs also.

Week 6 is finished and maybe so are 3 of the preseason top 5 teams possibly. Clemson, Texas, & Penn St might be out of playoff contention already. Who would have thought that at the end of August? Ohio St & Miami move above Oregon since the Penn St. win doesn’t look as good now.
In the Big Ten, formerly 0-4 UCLA upset Penn St and it didn’t seem like a fluke. Ohio St, Michigan, & Illinois rolled. Nebraska got past Michigan St. Penn St has no good wins and now is 0-2 v P4 opponents. Washington was down 20-0 to Maryland late in the 3rd quarter before coming back to win 24-20
In the ACC Miami beat Florida St in Tallahassee, Virginia won at Louisville in OT, Duke went out to Cal and handled them. Clemson might have got something figured out, but UNC might be that bad. Virginia is is definitely a team to watch. They play well & have a very good offense.
In the Big 12, Cincinnati defeated Iowa St & looked good most of the game doing it. Baylor beat K. State in a wild game. Kansas held on against UCF. BYU rolled over West Virginia and TCU survived Colorado. Texas Tech kept rolling at previously unbeaten Houston.
In the SEC Diego Pavia talked trash, but Alabama pulled away in the 4th quarter to win by 17. Georgia bounced back by beating Kentucky. Florida upset Texas in the Swamp. Texas has no good wins either and is 0-2 v P4 competition like PSU. Texas A & M rolled over Mississippi St.
In the group of 5, Navy got by Air Force by passing for 339 yds. Memphis kept rolling, whipping Tulsa, UNLV went into snowy Laramie to beat Wyoming. USF beat Charolette. The American Conference is very good and is going to be fun to watch the rest of the yr.
Notre Dame handled Boise St. 28-7.

Week 5 is s finished, and we have some movement in the top 25. Some very important games were played this week.
In the Big Ten, Oregon beat Penn St in a great double OT game, Ohio St stopped Washington’s home winning streak, Indiana survived Iowa, & Illinois upset USC on a last second FG.
In the ACC Virginia defeated Florida St in another great double overtime game. Georgia Tech survived a Wake Forest 2 point attempt in OT to stay unbeaten. Louisville came from behind to win at Pitt. V Tech got win 2 in a row since firing Brent Pry by winning at NC State. Cal went all the east and came from behind to beat BC a week after getting shut out by San Diego St.
In the Big 12 Iowa St whipped formerly unbeaten Arizona, Arizona St won again at the end, this week beating TCU. Cincinatti showed it might be a player in the league by winning at Kansas. Kansas St gave UCF its 1st loss. Utah whipped West Virginia & BYU survived a trip to Boulder & Colorado.
In the SEC it was a huge day of action. Alabama went to Georgia & held on for a huge win. Ole Miss got the best of LSU, while Tennessee in another OT game, won at Mississippi St. Texas A&M got a hard fought victory over Auburn, and Arkansas was destroyed by Notre Dame. Sam Pittman might be the next coach fired.
In the group of 5, Navy got by Rice, Memphis pulled away from FAU in the 4th quarter, North Texas is now 5-0 & has a very favorable schedule the rest of the season.

Week 3 is finished, there were done great games & finishes that changed the rankings. Ohio State stays #1. They struggled with Ohio for a while, but pulled away in the end.
The rest of the Big Ten there were once again a lot of big scores as a lot of non conference was finishing up, except for Minnesota going to Cal & losing, Wisconsin losing to Bama & UCLA who is awful & lost to New Mexico. Oregon was workman like in beating Northwestern. USC beat Purdue, but Purdue looks much improved from last season. The Big Ten really ramps up next week.
The ACC is going to be fun. Ga Tech beat Clemson w/ a walk off 55 yard FG, Miami stomped USF, Cal beat Minnesota and the Bears could be dangerous. UNC looks to have righted the ship, NC State is 3-0 after beating Wake, & Stanford looked good in beating Boston College. Virginia Tech now 0-3 after getting whipped by Old Dominion at home, might be looking for a new coach very soon.
The Big 12 had some good & some not so good. Arizona St looked good beating Texas St, Texas Tech, TCU, Cincinnati, Utah & Baylor rolled. West Virginia beat Pitt in OT on the backyard brawl. Iowa St struggled to beat Arkansas St. Kansas St lost to Arizona on what was a non con game. Houston is now 3-0 for the 1st time since 2016 after beating Colorado.
In the SEC a lot of very good games. LSU bested Florida with the help of 5 DJ Lagway interceptions. Texas A&M beat Notre Dame 41-40 on a late TD after ND missed an extra point. Ole Miss beat Arkansas in a back & forth slugfest, Vanderbilt went into South Carolina & dominated them, and in the game of the day, Georgia defeated Tennessee in OT after Tenn missed a FG at the end of regulation. Alabama whipped Wisconsin, while Texas won, but struggled w/ UTEP.
In the group of 5, Tulane got a big win over Duke & the Green Waves former QB. Navy after a slow start ran over Tulsa, Memphis is now 3-0 and has a huge home game w/ Arkansas next week.
