AQA GCSE PE teachers - do you follow and teach in the order of chapters from the specification or do you have your own order that you teach in over the two years? If so then what order and why? Itโs recently came up in a dept discussion so thought I would ask around ๐๐ผ
Just tried out @justmoteHQ to give feedback on some coursework. Made it so much quicker and really think the students will enjoy it! The transcripts pick up the odd wrong word but definitely understandable for those who may prefer to read the feedback. Highly recommended! ๐๐ผ
Had a go at something a bit different ๐ช๐ผCreated a tiktok dance option for our creative pathway for KS3 to have a go at! Could only upload 2 minutes of the full vid on Twitter but the Students loved it and had many responses ๐๐ผ Wait until the end for the outtakes ๐๐บ๐ผ#PE#teaching
@MissPeeblesPE@MrWebb_PE@missfosterpe7@pe_enthusiast@PE_Gwynne@KnaglePE@PE4Learning @pe_toolkit @MattKellyCoach @PEgeeks The keen beans always get involved and some others let us know that they did some form of exercise when they would have had their PE lesson. Probably would get more engagement from a live lesson, but was agreed by the powers above that we are needed elsewhere ๐คท๐ผโโ๏ธ
Canโt get any further away from contact rugby then an online rugby session! Here are a few skill based activities that can be completed at the end of a warm up...๐๐พ (for a full warm up checkout: https://t.co/Oi35YhflnT )
Update for me:
Monday - Inset (prep time for remote learning)
1st week - teachers in school doing remote learning for all year groups.
2nd week - teachers in school doing remote learning for all year groups + face to face learning for Y11 & Y13.
Key worker kids in for both weeks.
@Planet_PE Yep, council gave the school tests for teachers to do around 30th/31st to then have results for first day back. Also told to prepare to teach remotely first week back.
Extra curricular clubs are now encouraged to be back on during lockdown according to recent government guidelines. Any other schools going ahead with this? https://t.co/rFvg1liiYO
@PeBrado Worked great for us, until the whole school network/internet went down for roughly 40 minutes ๐๐ผ๐ Although the 5minute cut off was too short at times!
A few bits and bobs on TES and Share Learn Teach and PE4learning, itโs always worth checking those areas out as some more resources have probably been added!
Looking for any resources or guidance for Level 3 Cambridge Technical Diploma - Sport and Physical Activity. Taking over a Year 12 class and starting unit 17 - Sports Injuries and Rehab and would love any sort of help! @MrWebb_PE @MrFallickPE @PeBrado @ShareLearnT @ClaymanPE
Even after all these little bits of organisation, as a department it has still been a struggle with all the logistics each lesson. Feel like Iโm more concerned about the whereโs and whenโs of lessons and changing areas and safety for all classes rather than the lesson content ๐ฉ
