Urgent humanitarian appeal to govt of Pakistan:
Afghan cancer and other critical patients are losing their lives because Pakistan visa restrictions are disrupting lifesaving treatment. I personally know two patients who died after they could not return to Islamabad to complete remaining session of chemotherapy/radiotherapy at Shifa International Hospital.
Patients traveling legally for medical care should not suffer because of regional tensions or the actions of militant groups. Humanitarian medical visas for Afghan patients must be facilitated urgently.
Every delay can cost a life.

@TurgayEvren1 It's a reality in Pakistan, although a sad one.
Some some 33 years of direct military rule, the democratic institutions are barely developed and hence the need for a hybrid governance.
In a short run, this is working for macro-stability, amidst internal political instability
Pakistan’s policy position remains clear and consistent - veto should either be abolished or, at a minimum its use by the current permanent members severely restricted. Any expansion of the veto or addition of new individual permanent members is firmly opposed, as more vetoes would only aggravate the problem.
This is a position of principle.
