It’s SUPER hard not to take the things your students do or say personally. They’re the ones around you the most, so it definitely hurts more coming from them. But, we can’t take it to heart.

You don’t have to do a TikTok for them. You don’t have to rap for them. You don’t have to be a comedian for them. And you don’t need a creative handshake for every one of them.
Just take pride in your teaching, genuinely care, and be committed to the success of every student.

@TeachMrReed But, really. When I give directions, they’re on the board, printed in front of them, and in their GClass and they say, “wait. What are we doing?” Or, “did y’all do anything when I was gone?” No, child. We sat here crying.
