Survived the hit. Sued his label. Receives little to no support. Corporate America tried to ruin his name with one of the most disgusting accusations you could place upon a human. Two years later, he stands tall. Resilience and persistence. Welcome to history, Drake.
I signed to UCLA my junior year of high school and was told I was going to start Day 1.
Opening Day at UCLA?
I was sitting the bench. 😭
I had 2 choices:
1. Complain, pout, and blame the coaches
OR
2. Find the holes on the team and become valuable.
So for 3 weeks, I sat the bench.
I showed up early.
Stayed late.
Cheered for my teammates.
Dragged the field every 3rd inning.
Meanwhile, I studied the team.
The middle infielders were doing well.
Third base wasn’t.
So I told the coaches:
“I can play third.”
Then I noticed something else:
Offensively, we were either hitting home runs or getting out.
I saw the gap.
If I could become a tough out, get on base, and bring energy to the team…
I could create value.
Then we played Miami.
The starting third baseman was hitting .115.
They gave me a shot.
I went 2 for 3 with a walk.
Played solid defense.
Brought energy.
I never sat the bench again.
Eventually, I became team captain…
and we were ranked #1 in the country.
One thing baseball taught me:
Opportunities don’t always go to the most talented player.
Sometimes they go to the player who becomes the most valuable.
i know most people like Drake when he is rapping his ass off but i hope ICEMAN has some Pipe Down, Hours in Silence, Drew a Picasso, Tried Our Best type of songs!
Coworker saw my vacation photos and said "you must be lonely traveling alone."
I was in japan. Solo. No itinerary. Ate whatever I wanted. Slept when I wanted.
The loneliest I've felt was at his wedding, sitting at a table full of people I'd never see again.
Gen Z isn’t “giving up.”
They did the math.
A house costs 10x the average salary. A degree costs $200K for a $45K job. Retirement won’t exist by the time they get there.
They’re not reckless. They’re the first generation to stop pretending the system isn’t completely broken…
8 cosas que sé a los 35 y ojalá hubiera sabido a los 25:

2 - Comparte piso
3- Invierte cuanto antes
4- Crea ingresos fuera de tu trabajo
5- Bebe más agua
6- Caminar está infravalorado
7- Ser buena persona está infravalorado… Mostrar más
