The programme further reflected the Embassy’s continued commitment to staying connected with the Malaysian community while promoting Malaysia and Visit Malaysia Year 2026.
More than just a gathering, the programme also provided a valuable opportunity to reconnect with friends, strengthen community bonds, and foster closer ties among Malaysians residing in Switzerland.
The “Taste of Malaysia and Consular Day” programme brought together Malaysians and friends of Malaysia in Switzerland through authentic Malaysian flavours, warm engagement, and the spirit of Malaysian harmony abroad.

On 8 May 2026, Mr. Nor Azman Taib, Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of the Embassy of Malaysia in Berne, had the pleasure of attending the opening of “The Garden Dreams Through Us” at HeLai Art Gallery in Zurich.
The exhibition brings together the works of Malaysian artists Najib Ahmad Bamadhaj, Anisa Abdullah, and Nik M Shazmie alongside Swiss artist Rogério Viana—a meaningful reflection of the growing artistic collaboration between Malaysia and Switzerland.
The engagement highlighted Switzerland’s cutting-edge advancements in precision engineering, smart agriculture, and digital health, and their potential relevance to Malaysia’s growing digital and innovation ecosystem.
Together with fellow ASEAN Missions in Berne, officials from the Embassy of Malaysia visited the Swiss Centre for Electronics and Microtechnology (CSEM) in Neuchâtel to engage with one of Switzerland’s leading applied research institutions and gain deeper insights into
the country’s innovation ecosystem and best practices. The visit offered a valuable perspective on how applied research is translated into practical, market-ready solutions that support industrial development and competitiveness.
