In Nagasaki, I hosted lunch for Malaysian working professionals at Malaya Malaysian Cuisine. Operated by Lock Hon Chiow since 2000, the restaurant brings the taste of 🇲🇾 to Kyushu. It felt good to know Malaysians who bring the good name of 🇲🇾 in 🇯🇵

Attended the 81st Nagasaki Peace Memorial Ceremony in memory of the victims of the atomic bomb dropped on the city on 9 Aug ‘45. The ceremony also spreads the call for everlasting world peace

Attended a reception hosted by Nagasaki Mayor on 7 Aug ‘26, where the Speaker of the House of Representatives of Japan delivered a speech. It brought together members of the National Diet, Nagasaki City senior officials, diplomatic corps and other guests

Attended the 330th ACT Meeting in Hiroshima. ASEAN ambassadors exchanged views on recent political and economic developments in 🇯🇵. Also received briefings by the Chairman of the Hiroshima ASEAN Association and the Director of the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum

Visited Kozenji Temple in Hiroshima and paid respects at the late Nik Yusuf whose grave is located there. Nik Yusuf, a Malaysian, died in the atomic bombing on 6 Aug ‘45. Thanked Rev. Hoshizuki for preserving the memory and final resting place of Nik Yusuf
