Reservation is the most pressing issues facing J&K’s youth. The Assembly must take up the Adjournment Motion.
If it cannot debate the issue affecting millions, what is the purpose of this House?
Discuss reservation Or adjourn sine die.
Don't force us to set an Assembly in Park !
@hijabbyalabeer Jgr,meon agar maneyekh, suli gare kar kahan kaar start, nate gas foreign,ma kar panun time zaaye, bete oosus ake doh Yee wanan, wen chum feran.
EWS residential criteria is a joke ,we have a need to build large house may be out of compulsion or any other reason bcoz we have a joint family system, large gathering on family functions or any unwanted situation, and also limited land.does having double storey house mean rich
MLA Pulwama @parawahid further urged that the House must vote on keeping SO 176 and SO 305 in abeyance. Social Welfare Minister @sakinaitoo, however, intervened, suggesting that the MLA should wait for the “report.”
Despite her intervention, the Speaker permitted the vote. The National Conference MLAs, particularly the Social Welfare Minister, appeared to reject the proposal, signalling limited urgency in addressing the reservation issue.
The proposal ultimately received just four votes, all cast by PDP MLAs.
Two key questions arise here:
1) The Cabinet had already approved the Sub-Committee report and, as per CM @OmarAbdullah, the file has been forwarded for LG’s approval. Which report, then, is the Minister referring to when suggesting that the House and the people should wait for it?
2) How long will the National Conference government remain comfortable with the reservation issue remaining unresolved while academic and employment opportunities continue to elude general category/unreserved candidates?
Thank you @parawahid for being the voice of open merit students who are facing clear injustice. SRO 305 & 176 must be put on hold until a transparent census and rationalisation is carried out....Merit cannot be sacrificed.
Suggesting a short-term measure to ensure that ongoing academic and employment opportunities are distributed equitably across all categories, @jkpdp Legislature Party Leader in the J&K Assembly and MLA Pulwama @parawahid proposed that SO 176 and SO 305 (the new reservation policy orders) issued by the Social Welfare Department be kept in abeyance until the process for rationalisation of the current reservation framework is completed.
The MLA stated that this would automatically restore 70% of opportunities to the open merit pool, thereby ensuring that unreserved youth are not adversely affected until a final resolution of the issue is achieved.
@UsmanGaniLone1@DrVeeri@OmarAbdullah@GreaterKashmir@rtimuzaffar@tanvirsadiq@JKNC_ Yes,what can u expect from these parasites. We kashmiris relied on them but every time they stabbed us.not even 1 party has made a single statment regarding railway,or OM reservation, but see now he he tries to take credit for this, when a common kashmris were protesting, were r they
Why do you fear discussing the reservation issue now? Why was it discussed so openly during election time, but avoided today? Why are you betraying the very people who voted for you? Where will we go? When we step outside Jammu & Kashmir to seek job opportunities, we are attacked and alienated. If we stay here, our jobs are taken away in the name of a reservation policy. Please tell us where is the youth of this place supposed to go? Don’t betray us.

Sincere appreciation to Hon’ble MLA Waheed Para for boldly highlighting the unfair reservation policy in the Assembly and holding the elected government accountable for its continued neglect and failure to address the concern of 70% of J&K’s population.
