हरियाणा के हिसार ज़िले के भारत नगर में 16 वर्षीय गणेश वाल्मीकि के जन्मदिन की खुशी मातम में बदल गई। परिवार म्यूज़िक बजाकर जन्मदिन मना रहा था — यह किसी भी इंसान का मौलिक अधिकार है।

लेकिन शराब के नशे में धुत पुलिसकर्मी जबरन म्यूज़िक बंद करवाने आए, जातिसूचक गालियाँ दीं, कुछ और पुलिस कर्मी बुलवा कर मारपीट चालू कर दी महिलाओ को भी नहीं बक्शा।महिलाओं के साथ बदतमीज़ी की, अंततः जिस मासूम का जन्मदिन था, उसे पुलिसवालों ने छत से नीचे फेंक दिया — और गणेश की मौके पर ही मौत हो गई।

यह कोई हादसा नहीं, यह साफ़ तौर पर दलित विरोधी पुलिसिया हत्या है।

घटना अत्यंत दुखद और दण्डनीय है।मेरी संवेदनाएं परिजनों के साथ है। प्रकृति उन्हें इस असीम दुख को सहने की शक्ति प्रदान करें।

हम मुख्यमंत्री @NayabSainiBJP जी से पूछते हैं:

क्या हमारे वाल्मीकि समाज के बच्चों को खुशी मनाने का हक़ नहीं?

क्या गणेश की हत्या पर भी प्रशासन चुप रहेगा?

हम @cmohry से माँग करते हैं:

1. दोषी पुलिसकर्मियों की तत्काल गिरफ्तारी व हत्या का मुकदमा दर्ज किया जाए।

2. SC/ST अत्याचार निवारण अधिनियम के तहत केस चले।

3. पीड़ित परिवार को कम से कम 1 करोड़ रुपये का मुआवज़ा और सरकारी नौकरी दी जाए।
