What an honour it was to celebrate our very own Mike Kilbride as he was recognized by Quilts of Valour Canada!

Warmups and cool downs are vastly over rated and mostly unnecessary for running work outs.
1. Cool downs do nothing. You will cool down by just stopping running. Don’t worry about this. 1/x

Physiotherapy is almost as pseudoscientific as osteopathy and chiropractic https://t.co/Oc7sClEjVr

Disappointing that this nonsense is still being explained in such ridiculous outdated biomechanical terms, and even more disappointing that it being promoted by Physio Network!
Academia, & therefore publication, has been steadily moving in the direction of non-specificity in lockstep with postmodernist nihilistic influence. It should come as no surprise that those actually treating patients are so reluctant to follow. Specificity is hard, it always has been. Why was academia and academics so easily distracted from the real world?
Was it JFK who once said - "we do these things, not because they are easy, but because they are hard". Same goes for specificity of diagnosis. It's a worthy goal, and progress is being made.
Knowing what you are treating, can lead to better, more precise i.e. specific, treatments - so you can know how to treat. Knowing what, also exposes the subsets that are not effectively or inappropriately being treated by both non-specific & allegedly specific treatments. In Orwell-speak: "Specificity good, non-specificity bad"...
