So folks at @espn are upset ND isn’t playing in a bowl game after weeks of folks politicking against the lack of conference affiliation, using them as a pawn for their CFB playoff selection show, having the ACC network play the UM/ND game on repeat for 48 hours during Conf Champ week BUT now it’s a bad look they don’t want to serve ESPN’s best interest by playing in an exhibition bowl game? Got it.
The ACC and ESPN get to lobby against Notre Dame for three weeks and the committee can deliberately mislead them and then those entities get to benefit from Notre Dame’s bowl participation?
@BarstoolChief Why would they give ABC/ESPN another dime by playing in the Pop-Tarts Bowl on a network that had a direct hand in keeping Notre Dame out of the current playoff bracket?
If you hate ND and want to celebrate today that’s fine. Just know that you have no integrity and don’t care about the sport because anyone who cares about competition & having the best 12 teams in should want Notre Dame in the playoff. If you don’t it’s because you lack character
The CFP selection process is a joke.
Punish BYU for losing the conference championship game, but don’t punish Alabama and you leave out Notre Dame. The bias has never been more clear.
Absolutely a JOKE that @NDFootball is not part of the college football playoff/ the Irish have dominated 10 in a row after a heartbreaking 1 point loss to @AggieFootball What football is the committee watching, somebody tell me please.
There wasn’t any logic waiting to move UM ahead of ND if Conf championship game outcomes are inconsequential. If Head to head was a factor, you had it all year. This isn’t a serious committee. It’s a made for TV event. Expand and get rid of the committee. BCS was a better formula. For ND, you now know 11-1 is the worst you can do to secure a spot in this current playoff format.
If the committee puts Miami ahead of Notre Dame in its final rankings, then it needs to explain why it didn't flip the order of those two teams at ANY point in the previous month.
Neither of these teams played this weekend. The committee put itself in this situation.
How does OSU drop one spot after losing a 3pt conference championship game and Bama stays the same after losing a 21pt game?
ESPN propaganda machine did what they needed to do
