Huge fan of @PlaySoulframe and the resident community OST psycho. Check out my unofficial Soulframe Music Archive if you want. ⬇⬇
God bless and good day to you
@LukeCB14 The issue with Splicer's story is how they skipped a century of nuance surrounding the 100 Year's Siege to make a shallow boogeyman out of Lakshmi, and paint any hesitancy towards the Eliksni as racism instead of complex socio-political prejudice. It could've been more compelling
@GR1MzHonor@DestinyTheGame@Destiny2Team@Bungie The extremes we have to go to to recapture the aura of D1 era Guardian armor that actually made us look like Guardians is crazy. This rules.
@AnOrdinaryGal1@TimSweeneyEpic Bro the guy who stopped being funny over a decade ago who makes fortnite slop videos defending Tim Sweeney is hilariously on the nose.
@muselk@TimSweeneyEpic Used to love your videos but holy shit what a terrible take
Tim Sweeny is a fucking retard and a massive loser and Epic games is a horrible platform that realistically needs to just shut down atp
Also fuck AI
Tim Sweeney getting upset at Steam's AI disclosure is an endless stream of funny content.
He claims it's bad for developers, but what he actually means is it's bad for Epic Games. Because Epic are literally building UE6 around generative AI, which they say will play a "central role"
If generative AI is good, and developers are proud to use it, there shouldn't be an issue disclosing it. But the problem is gamers don't agree, and some actively avoid games using AI. This in turn will mean avoiding UE6 games using their fancy gen AI integrations, which hurts Epic's business model.
It's another one of those things where companies are not on the same page as gamers. Gamers want engine developers to solve problems they are having (eg poor performance, traversal stutter, visual artefacts). They don't want those problems to remain unsolved while Epic makes it easier to fill storefronts with low quality AI-made games.
Transparency is always good for consumers and shouldn't be sacrificed. Ever. Why hide the use of a feature if you think the feature is good?
If it's a "hate mob" issue, maybe time to reassess the messaging. Prove that AI use is good, instead of hiding it. Because if it's actually good, it should be easy to explain and show why. The work speaks for itself with these things.
If Epic are ever wondering why gamers love Steam and avoided the Epic Games Store for so long, it's because Valve continue to deliver what gamers want. Being hostile to gamers doesn't work.
@janeluve_ No.
-Not a corpsman
-stole his ring from a grave
-stole his evil NOT-GREEN lantern from sinestro and left him to die
He doesn't really stand for anything besides his own interests by the end of the story.
@A_dmg04 The only thing I'd ever vehemently demand of the Destiny team, is that they get rid of the place-based speed throttling/rubber banding in SRL. It's so anti-skill and unfun, it literally punished you for being good at racing and rewards people who arent :(
@Saboogus Honestly, if he wasn't so stubborn with some dumb stuff like universal vacuum and his hatred for the simulacrum (which I kinda get now, given how many simulacrum warriors we have today), people would have been more receptive of his ideas for balance.
@Triburos though the ceiling of this one is pretty bad, but the automation potential of other things feels more egregious to me, especially since they actually seem to be pretty quick with nipping any potential afk stuff in the bud nowadays (at least new stuff when they release it)
@Triburos I simultaneously enjoy and agree with:
-Pablos letter and reasoning
-The replies roasting the hypocrisy of letting so many other outliers stick out while only changing the one (*ahem* chinaframe tactics like TenetEnvoy/Ocucor *ahem*)
I'm just sitting back and enjoying the show
