“I think the fans and the media, everybody here was pretty impatient.”
Pretty bold to blame others when it was you who took an NCAA Tournament team to the most losses in program history in your first year, then come out the next year and be even worse.
But par for the course with that guy.
I don’t know what the rest of the weekend or the rest of the season will bring, but Gamecock fans, enjoy that win! It’s been a rough 14 months for men’s sports but that BTA beating of Clemson tonight is definitely something to celebrate for a few hours.
I see we are now smearing the hockey team bc Trump said something we didn't like. Journalism. The FIRST word out of a player's mouth after Trump's sentence is "ABSOLUTELY," followed by some cheering and laughing and then a chant of "TWO-FOR-TWO" in the background. Jack Hughes is literally on video saying the first person he thought of after his golden goal was Megan Keller, whom he'd congratulated on her OT goal the day before in the cafeteria. The entire team honored a fallen teammate by caring for his widow, parents and children on the ice in the moments after the Gold (and throughout the last 18 mos). But sure, because 100% of team members don't either a) reject a phone call from a president you don't like, which is probably Sally's actual wish or b) react like cable pundits by fact-checking him on said phone call, we're gonna milkshake duck a group of American heroes. It's so very missing the point.
The moment the U.S. Men’s Hockey team brought the Gaudreau kids onto the ice… that said everything about who these men are.
Champions aren’t just defined by gold medals. They’re defined by heart. By loyalty. By remembering the people who helped build the journey.
In the middle of the biggest celebration, they made space for family. For love. For legacy.
I’m not even ashamed to say I’m crying. That was bigger than hockey. 🇺🇸 ❤️
That’s character. That’s brotherhood. That’s what real men look like.
My god. The Hellebuyck performance. The Boldy/Hughes goals. The penalty kills. The Gaudreau family in attendance with his jersey being paraded around the ice at the end. The first Gold since Miracle, on the anniversary of that game. This game had it all. Unbelievable.
Not sure what we #Gamecocks fans did to deserve this misery but the last 14+ months have been THE WORST of my lifetime watching Men’s Sports…
Getting blown out by Army in baseball today might be the lowest of the lows… Sad thing is, not sure we’ve hit Rock Bottom yet… #CB90
