@Jayshep_@McgruderDelone@RGIII I agree with you- I think Kirk stays 2-3 years max. That puts Penix on track to play at age 26/27 like I called out. I think Atlanta would’ve been better off drafting a stud at a position of need that helps them win now. My opinion.
@WayneVulcan@AC_Deso@RGIII It matters because ATL didn’t have to sign him if they were worried about his injury. Penix isn’t that young either- 24 y/o and won’t see any meaningful snaps until age 26/27. They’ll likely have a year to watch him before deciding if they need to pick up the 5th year option.
@ask_high@DrJesseMorse lol that might be true- it doesn’t make sense why they haven’t actively shopped Fields though.
In order of likelihood imo:
- Bears draft Caleb
- Bears trade #1
- Bears draft MHJ at #1
Something isn’t adding up with this entire situation yet.
@YZR_Fantasy Can you imagine trading Fields for 2.11 in SF and then watching the Bears draft MHJ at 1.01 if it were to happen? I think people need to pump the brakes here until we know what’s actually going on.
@TylerFFCreator @PGar5800 Obviously Schefter is one of the best in the business but so is Rapoport. He said last night on NFL Network that Chi hasn’t shopped him yet so I don’t know what’s going on. I truly cannot imagine a world where the Bears pass on Caleb for MHJ but none of this makes a lot of sense.
@TDSTACO My dream scenario is the Vikes getting inside the top 3 to land Maye/Daniels but seems unlikely. I’m not going to pretend I’m a better QB evaluator than scouts so if they’re buying into the hype with McCarthy I will do the same. We need to take a swing at a QB and hit!
Kirk Cousins out.
Sam Darnold in.
My wishlist for the Vikings is now to either A) Trade for Justin Fields or B) Trade up inside the top 5 to land J.J. McCarthy.
