- Matlala was re-joined with the other accused after being previously seperated during plea and sentencing negotiations, which later collapsed.
This after the Pretoria Specialised Commercial Crimes Court recommended a 12 year direct imprisonment sentence for Matlala rather than the 8 years proposed.

- A warrant of arrest was issued for accused 10 Major General Busisiwe Temba who was not in court. Her lawyer furnished court with a medical certificate. The warrant is held over until the next appearance on 17th November. This means if she does not appear at that next date the warrant of arrest will be executed.

BREAKING: The NPA has dropped chargers against General Fannie Masemola.

The NDPP considered evidence gathered by IDAC through investigations and following the review process, the NDPP is satisfied that there are no reasonable prospects of a successful prosecution against the National Commissioner on the PFMA charges. The NDPP has subsequently issued instructions that the charges against the National Commissioner be withdrawn.

This was when I resigned, but when I heard about what was happening (on the 09 March 2026), I made sure I went out to cover the story.

I interviewed comrades and fellow students on the ground and sent the story and audio to the news anchor, who was hosting the brunch-lunch show in the studio and another piece was used on the Wednesday Wrap show.
