Schools like Makini served a niche market… parents who valued a local curriculum but with some cushion and amenities that they could not get in public schools.

However, it now looks like these parents are exiting local Kenyan CBC curriculum into foreign Cambridge curriculum.

This may leave local curriculum education for those who can’t afford the escape? Troubling.
