MALAWIAN SOCIAL MEDIA CELEBRITY CREATIVELY PROMOTES GREAT CONTROVERSY BOOK.

Malawian author, humanitarian and social media influencer, Pemphero Mphande, has asked his followers and the public to read the Great Controversy book.

Mphande,32 is a member of New Apostolic Faith church.

Lately, using his social media and conventional media outlets, he surprised his followers by rolling out an aggressive public campaign advocating for the reading of the Great Controversy.

Speaking in an interview on Zodiak TV popular program, Cruise 5, Pemphero Mphande who runs a community service charity said he encountered a life changing experience by reading the Great Controversy and would want as many people as possible to experience the same.

“This is a book I am reading, it is changing my life. My desire is that many people should read it too,” he said.

He observed that although “The Great Controversy was authored by an Adventist, Ellen G. White, “the book is not for Seventh-day Adventists but for every human being living on earth.”

In a rare gesture of commitment towards promoting the reading of the Great Controversy, Mphande is distributing the book free. He is also running an essay competition in which he is challenging secondary school students to summarize the book or any chapter of their interest in few words.

Providentially, “the Great Controversy” is the book of the year in the Seventh-day Adventist church. Interested readers can freely access the book as hard copy or through a digitized barcode available from Adventists institutions worldwide.
