Wonderful to take part in Cow Cuddling in Gaushala, Rajasthan.
No nation respect the cow as Indians 🇮🇳 do. It is our Mother, the mother of life. In hindu dharma the cow represents the divine and should be protected and venerated. It is associated with God, the vehicle of lord Shiva is Nandi, the bull.
The practice of spending time with and showing respect for cows is deeply embedded in Indian culture, though it was not specifically referred to as "cow cuddling" in ancient Bharat.
Interacting with cows to relieve stress and establish a connection with nature is believed to increase happiness.
From this flows the strong Indian idea that humans should be kind to animals.
Happy to do a bit of cow cuddling in Jaipur.
Thanks Shree Kalptaru Sansthan and Vishnu Lamba for asking me join their Cow Cuddling campaign.

A Mother’s 6-Year Journey to Realize Her Dream for Her Children
“Vanakkam (Greetings)! I am Bhanumathi, a farmer from Kinathukadavu, near Coimbatore. Six years ago, in 2018, I started my natural farming journey when I attended a 9-day training by Save Soil to transform my land into a thriving, chemical-free farm. It wasn’t easy initially. Years of chemical farming had drained the soil, but with the training and support from Save Soil volunteers, I began to see change.
With natural inputs, intercropping, and even beekeeping, my farm now provides food for my family and gives me so much joy! We grow turmeric, press coconut oil, and harvest more fruits and vegetables than we can eat.
I am proud to be a woman farmer, working every day to build a sustainable future for my children. Endless thanks to Save Soil for being by my side through this journey.”
