We have had a busy start to the week finding out about Diwali. We have tasted some Indian food, made Diva lamps using clay and created our own Rangoli patterns. 🪔 🎆

🔥 🎆 We enjoyed talking about bonfire night, describing and drawing what we could see and using words to describe what we could hear. 🎆🔥

Our Teddy Bears’ Picnic was a fantastic end to our first half term. The children worked hard to plan and prepare for the picnic and we all had a great day with our teddies! 🐻🧺

⚠️Crime Scene⚠️We were shocked to find such a mess in our classroom today.After lots of careful investigation the children came to the conclusion that Goldilocks had been to visit and she left in a hurry when she heard the bell.The children found lots of clues around school!🐻👧🏼

We have been very busy in our PE lessons working on lots of important skills.

We have read the story Lost and Found,a story about a penguin who was lonely and wanted a friend. The book sparked lots of discussion about feelings and we talked about when we have felt lonely, sad, happy, scared and surprised like the boy and the penguin in the story. 🐧

A sprinkle of kindness, 3 large scoops of fun, 2 cups of laughter 💫 We have been talking about what makes a good friend and have created our own friendship recipes. 🥣🧁

We have been reading ‘Have You Filled a Bucket Today’ this week. The children have been working hard to ‘fill each others buckets’ by being kind and caring. We have a class bucket that we are working extremely hard to fill by saying and doing kind things. 🪣 ⭐️ 💫

A huge WELCOME to our new Reception children. We have had an amazing first few days, the children have settled in extremely well and look so smart and grown up in their uniform. It’s going to be a great year! 💫 🏫

A wonderful, wet afternoon outdoors making memories. We had some fantastic axe throwers and cannot wait to bring home the bug houses that we have made next week.

We have had a great time toasting marshmallows, building dens, making big houses, hunting for bugs. Mrs Jones can’t wait to go again on Friday!

Today in maths we have been investigating ways to make 10. We have read the story ‘How may legs?’ and then helped the aliens travel home making sure the rocket had 10 legs each time.
