@JQMatt @RevRichardColes You can try it yourself: run, jump and land still. Then try the same but attempt to jump again immediately instead of landing. You will feel the different technique between a landing and a rebound, even on a smaller scale.

@JQMatt @RevRichardColes The principle is that when a gymnast lands they aim to absorb/kill any momentum/energy which is left from the tumble. When they rebound they use that same energy to transfer into the next tumble along with some extra power generated from proper technique and muscle strength...
