Phenomenal response from Australian media on the incident in which Australian journalist Lauren Tomasi was shot with a rubber bullet at relatively short range by a police officer.

To be very clear, she posed no threat to the officer, Indeed she had her back to him. It was clear she was press, yet the officer decided in what can only be described as a cowardly act of reckless disregard for her safety to deliberately injure her.

This is disgraceful, especially when we are being constantly told police officers are the victims.

I would like to personally extend my best wishes to @LaurenTomasi for her speedy recovery, following her courageous work reporting events on the ground in these most dangerous of times. You shout all reach out too.
