You are not wrong…money is a cushion. The more money you have the more mistakes you can make and the less you worry about feeding your family or paying your bills.
I’m not pretending to be a financial expert - but there are so many hypocritical talking heads on tv saying they don’t care about losing money or being in financial pain for a while. Most of you are married to finance bros, come from rich families or have huge media contracts. You have a cushion if shit goes south.
One of my best friends buys her groceries for her family based on what coupons each store has. I assure you a possible recession or huge rise in prices everywhere will be a different experience for her family than you.
I don’t want people who have already suffered so much to suffer anymore but hey that’s just me. America is the land of plenty and this is normally a thing the left does, asking Americans to suffer.
I may be the emperors new clothes here but this needs to be said.
Our son was answering the 24-year old teacher’s questions on his first day of kindergarten: dad’s name, mom’s name, mom’s phone number? His eyes lit up and he sang, “867-5309!!!” Teacher wrote it down, didn’t miss a beat. My wife looked at me and said, “My work is done here.”
Ok - this is funny:
McDonald's called out order 867 and I yelled back 5309 and nobody laughed and I felt really really old and ate my burger in the playground area.

True story: I was 8, playing at my friend’s house. He had an older brother who sat in his room playing guitar. He opened his door to yell at us for running down the hallway and I hear Fly By Night blaring from his stereo. I’ve been hooked ever since.
Not to mention #GeddyLee and #AlexLifeson. Just shy of 40 years in at the time and still completely unrivaled live and dominant in every imaginable capacity. Thank you @MusicLive__ !
On this day, in 2020, the world lost one of the greatest drummers of all time.
Neil Peart, the drummer for Rush, one of the best trios of all time, again.
Neil Ellwood Peart was 67 when he passed away and he produced some incredible music for more than 50 years.
He was not just a drummer, he was the main lyricist of Rush. You can find traces of Neil Peart on almost all Rush songs that you listen today.
He drew most of his inspiration from drummers such as Keith Moon, Ginger Baker, and John Bonham, players who at the time were at the forefront of the British hard rock scene.
After some time, he began to emulate jazz and big band musicians Gene Krupa and Buddy Rich. In 1994, Peart became a friend and pupil of jazz instructor Freddie Gruber.
It was during this time that Peart revamped his playing style by incorporating jazz and swing components.
In honour of Neil Peart, here's a remastered version of his "Neil Peart Presents: The Rhythm Method".
He performs live in Toronto, in 1997.
I was brought up to believe
The universe has a plan
We are only human
It’s not ours to understand
The universe has a plan
All is for the best
Some will be rewarded
And the devil will take the rest…

Philosophers and ploughmen
Each must know his part
To sow a new mentality
Closer To The Heart
Yes, Closer To The Heart
Whoa whoa you can be the captain
And I will draw the chart
Sailing into destiny
Closer To The Heart…
