@arshgoyal13@LSXYZ9 It took Riot years to introduce at least a good version of a format (bo3 double elims) for MSI, whilst also concocting the most atrocious Mickey Mouse bracket possible (putting T1 into qualifiers was certainly a choice).
@tonyskeor@horia85 Very much not a normal thing. Closest we may find here is like 2 brands in sausage-like packaging, and these are not even close to the size in the picture.
@sean_gause The closest example I can think of was Arc Raiders, which also didn't make me think I was looking at the UE game. Looked gorgeous outdoors and ran well from my experience. Had some gripes with how it looked indoors and some shader issues here and there, however.
@Sokkaz_@sean_gause Don't think it maps onto reality - it's just everyone getting axed at this point.
At the same time you can't get the "professionals" without them starting off somehow, but industry-wide brain drain just makes it worse - way fewer people who can train and pass on the experience.
@sean_gause I do like when studios have their own thing. Konami with Fox Engine, CD Project's RED Engine, Massive's Snowdrop for Division, and more recently Bungie's cook for the Marathon - these give games so much personality, and would love to see more studio follow suite.
@sean_gause I completely agree, however Cyberpunk on release was, dare I say, worse than even an average UE game today. I also do agree that even on release the engine had so much sauce and gave Cyberpunk that memorable look, unlike most UE games which don't even bother with LUTs.
