Amid all the pomp and ceremony surrounding the transfer of power from Starmer to Burnham, and the talk of hope and change, there are exactly the same set of struggles on our hands today as there were yesterday.

With every fibre in my body i swear that I have only ever tried to be my dad's voice when it comes to his death.
I have never ever had an agenda, I refute the allegations being made about me by others that I am "earning money off the back of 97 dead" its vile, and I honestly can not take any more of this pile on.
It's relentless, it's libellous, it's nasty and it has tipped me over the edge.
I can not keep saying how grateful I am to all those who fought a battle that I know nothing about.
But I equally can not continue to pretend that this isnt happening to me.
I have only ever wanted to help my mum find out what happened to my dad because she never bad the strength to do it.
Now im accused of making money off the dead, using the 97 to gain a career, and making the campaign all about myself.
Its absolutely devastating and its making me ill.

Varun Chandra - Sir Keir Starmer's top business adviser - is to stay in Downing Street during the premiership of Andy Burnham, as the incoming prime minister strives for continuity in key policy areas.

Sir Keir's chief business, investment and trade adviser, has agreed to continue in the role when Mr Burnham replaces Sir Keir next week.

Mr Chandra, a former boss of the corporate intelligence firm Hakluyt who came into Number 10 after Sir Keir's appointment, also acts as the PM's special envoy to the US on trade and investment.

He has played a key role in negotiations with Washington over President Trump's shifting tariffs regime over the last year, and is also said by private sector executives to have been heavily involved in key decisions on economic and business policy.

A Downing Street spokesman declined to comment, while Mr Chandra could not be

I’m told that in cabinet this morning from someone in the room that PM spoke “really movingly” when this he received the carriage clock. Apparently, his Dad loved clocks and had loads of them - they were his biggest love after his family - and that fed back to his tool-making & love of precision.
