Going from 4th year to a long summer vacay, straight into 17 hours of dual EMR training was a rude awakening to intern year. But moments like this remind/enable me to stay centered and motivated. LETS DO THIS
I am so excited to be joining @CUPhysMed with a prelim year at Creighton here in Phoenix ๐๐๐ Hard work really does make dreams come true! Thank you to all those who supported and helped me along the way, WE DID IT๐ฅณ
Itโs definitely disappointing that we canโt all be at #Physiatry21 in person, but on the upside I have been able to watch lectures that were scheduled at the same time, and do it at my pace so I can pause and do background research if I get lost on a topic new to me. Loving this!
One of my New Years resolutions this year was to brush up on my Spanish. Iโve used Duolingo the last 5 days and am loving it! Itโs coming back to me so fast and I love that it has listening lessons as well! Highly recommend.
There may be a lot of sadness and stress in the world rn, but our trauma ICU has the best tree Iโve ever seen...Remembering how much I have to be grateful for and how much I have learned about medicine and life over this past crazy year
About 1.5 years ago, after a day of step studying, one of my friends and I went on a walk. With this view, we talked about our futures - me about match, which is now somehow 100 days away! Iโm so grateful for my amazing support system and canโt believe this is really happening!!
After spending the last 1.5 weeks on the ICU team all I can say is tell the people you love how much they mean to you, give thanks for your health and the health of your loved ones, and wear a mask PLEASE
Today we wear orange to bring awareness to and in support of those affected by CRPS, and as a reminder that we as a medical community need to advocate for our patients and continue to research better treatments #colortheworldorange#CRPSAwarenessMonth
So excited to be presenting two case reports at #Physiatry2021 "Rehabilitation of Median Nerve Palsy due to COVID-19 ECMO Complications" with my good friend @DylanWBanks and "Rehabilitation of Motor Function in Statin Induced Necrotizing Autoimmune Myopathy"!!
In the last 12 hours I have submitted #ERAS and presented on anoxic brain injuries (very close to my heart). Emotions are high, I look forward to sleeping more than five hours tonight, and I canโt wait to be a #physiatrist!!! Good luck class of 2021! ๐
Just got teary eyed along with every other football fan in America watching Alex Smith return to the game. What a reminder that nothing stands in the way of hard work and a whole lot of heart.
We are fortunate to collaborate with @Hi5sFoundation, an org that introduces adaptive athletes to new sports at many different camps throughout the year. Recently they tried out motocross in Colorado! Meet some of the athletes: https://t.co/Z3YggYzS3P
I have loved MSK anatomy since high school. Now that Iโm on interventional pain, I realize I didnโt review anatomy as much as I should have throughout third year. Today I called the levator scapulae the scapularis elevator. I know what Iโm doing this weekend...
