Our Fellows 36 CNC Shaper is coming along well. But too many supplier problems has slowed us down a bit. We are finding it difficult to get good suppliers for machining tight tolerance parts for these rebuilt and highly customized machines.

“In Stock” projects that are either ready for sale or could be made ready for sale soon. Pfauter P1501 that we plan to upgrade to a Fanuc 0iF, a Lorenz LS-424 shaper with a Fanuc 0iF, Pfauter PE-500 hobber with Fanuc 16i and a Fellows 10-4 which is just starting it’s rebuild.

Our Lorenz LS-424 gear shaping machine re-control with a Fanuc 0i-MF and an MTB mechanical recertification is nearing the completed stage. Just a few more motors to mount and few more wires to connect and we can have the power turned on. This machine is available for sale.

Check out this new offering from MTB/Hamai on their N60 high precision fine pitch horizontal gear hobber. Hamai offers a full line up of horizontally arranged hobbers N40, N60 and N80 that span the range of module 1.0 to 3.0 and from 50mm to 220mm maximum hobbed lengths.

The next machine in our schedule is a Lorenz LS-424 Gear Shaper going through a full re-control with a Fanuc 0-iF CNC. This machine is a build for stock unit that is available for sale with delivery in the early 1st quarter of 2021 or very late December 2020.

The next Pfauter P1501 rebuild and CNC conversion to 5 axes and 1 spindle is inching closer to completion. Power has been turned on and some initial commissioning will begin this week.

One of our customers sent in this Pfauter P1250 transmission because it would not rotate the worktable properly. We took out the defective part, reverse engineered it and came up with a worktable solution to replace just a portion of the broken casting for them.

@adamgentry LOL, How about programming a Motorola 6800 in assembler using a Hex Keypad. Then moved to PC-DOS 1.0, huge improvement.....LOL

Here is a short clip of a Pfauter P400H with a 4 meter bed which we have available for sale. This was a machine which MTB rebuilt and converted to CNC for a big mining customer back in 2006. The machine was surplussed by them, and is available once again.

Jon is putting the finishing touches on a Pfauter PE-500 hob head that was completely clogged up with gunk which was created by mixing two incompatible oils. The cutting oil and the hydraulic oil interacted to create a thick scum that hardened over time.
