@jillianjane@FantomDriver@Jsalllll@TheJacobTurner I agree. Youth sports is far too expensive. There's a reason it's called a lottery pick. Those kids have already won the lottery.
Chasing the dream can have many paths, but it's become extremely expensive to do so in the more efficient ways.
@Purpurescens@atrupar You're not wrong. But here's some data. If a person working for the past 6 years gets a 2.5% raise each year. They've actually dropped in earnings
@KMan50000@FirstSquawk We're having to work twice as hard for the same amount or less in wages. Even if we're getting the standard COLA raise, it's not enough.
@JaredAllebest@joyinbecomingp1 Be that as it may, I'm still up till midnight or 1AM and waking around 8:00AM. The sun rise at 5:00 AM to 7:00 AM does me no good.
But, perhaps, we would need to adjust the business day to start earlier and evening / night activities to do the same.
@WDRBNews I haven't been able to demand more than a 2.5% raise from my employer for 6 straight years. (Better than nothing or getting fired, true.)
In that time I've got just under 16% total raise. Since that time, the CPI (or total inflation percentage) is 28.8%.
We're hurting!
@LibbyAnn1234@MEarthprime@DavidJHarrisJr You've read the Old Testament, right?
I'm not saying the Quran is right - they reject the divinity of Jesus Christ. But you've read the Old Testament, right?
@GenuineRegard@MEarthprime@DavidJHarrisJr But God does want us to "pray always"
"Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man."
@MEarthprime@DavidJHarrisJr You are absolutely NOT wrong about this. Christians (Catholics, Protestants, Restorationists) could all learn from the Muslim's dedication to prayer.
@theblaze He blasted Massie, who voted with Trump's agenda 91% of the time. The only time he didn't was when Trump reversed course on campaign promises of no new wars and not releasing the Epstein files.
@kaay_lo@WhiteHouse@WenBou1965 I was going to respond to the WH post with the comment that the normal person would be arrested for inciting violence against someone. Their post gets really close to that line. Yours crosses it.
