I was curious about the origins of the incentive crisis in construction. Turns out this is a very old problem. In 1754 BCE, ancient Babylon, they'd just kill the engineer if the building collapsed. I think we all got off on the wrong foot in this industry...
Offsite manufacturing can improve labor efficiency and schedules, but how do those gains balance production, logistics and shipping costs?
Our new research with @MIT explores OSM across the delivery chain and where AI can help connect it all.

The cost of renderings is declining while the value of the medium is increasing. The context that visualization provides when decisions must be recorded and propagated is wildly under-captured today.

@Jason@Jason check out Suffolk Technologies BOOST program! Would love you to take a look at the founders focused on changing the built environment alongside America’s Contractor @SuffolkBuilds https://t.co/YS5nYoraWT

AI let's the inexperienced produce work that imitates deep understanding. That's not the same as understanding.
A good harness develops user judgment before delivering an output. A mountain of AI text isn’t proof of understanding.

These NYC apartments are standing empty, not because the owners don't want to rent them, but because rent stabilization laws prohibit them from charging enough to earn back the costs of necessary repairs.
My latest for @WSJFreeEx
Geothermal energy has huge potential, but high drilling costs can hold it back. Dig Energy is working to change that. See how the startup teamed up with Suffolk Design and Suffolk Technologies to test its compact drilling rig at 100MAG, our new innovation hub.
Construction’s quick-and-dirty workarounds deserve more respect.
A sketch on drywall, blue tape, or ripped cardboard may tell us more about field adoption than another dashboard.
If adoption is flagging, study the workaround before you eliminate it.

Yup, vibe manufacturing is coming in hot. In an Industrial Revolution, what happens when the revolution is a collection of all of our earned intelligence over time? What happens when the cost of that becomes a utility? What IS the next bottleneck?
Software is just about to be over.
Entrepreneurs - think accordingly. In order to rush in this new age, what do we need to build? I am looking for you. I know what's on that path. We will meet on it.
