I’ll fix this: after a teenage (!!!) girl broke her ankle performing, she was pushed to continue to compete for team usa by her abusive coach despite her critical injury and well being.

In 1996 Kerri Strug went back out on the mats for the finals & had a spectacular performance despite a severely injured ankle.

She did it because it was the only way Team USA had a chance at Gold.

Due to her effort, Team USA won Gold. Amazing grit.

So many coaches and managers, specifically in women’s gymnastics, use and abuse the bodies and minds of their athletes to further their own careers. Treating their athletes as disposable resources while they go on in their careers for decades.
