The person stranded in Peru has made dozens of phone calls like this to the Peru embassy. Not one person has ever picked up or responded. Not one. In weeks.

This represents a complete failure of government to protect British citizens.

@rcastrovexler @JustinTrudeau The Canadian embassy here in Peru is completely closed and they aren’t accepting email or calls. All international and domestic flights are canceled. The only way out is if the Canadian government send humanitarian flights to get us out :/

Canadians #stuckinPeru received message that Embassy is closed. [email protected] sent generic form letter not specific to Peru, suggesting we ‘come home’...we are trapped. Please send specific guidance to Peru.
