Some personal news…

It’s bittersweet to share that after eight years in SC, I’ve accepted a full-time position as a Weekend Sports Anchor/Reporter @wpri12 in Rhode Island. After getting a chance to freelance recently in Boston, I knew if a full-time TV job became available back towards home with a chance to cover some of the pro teams I grew up watching it would be hard to say no to it.

I won’t be gone from SC completely though. Thanks to both @BrianShoemaker and my new bosses, I’ll be staying on with @GamecockCentral in a freelance role as I head into my ninth season of covering the Gamecocks.

From the stories I’ve covered, to the people I’ve been grateful to meet, to being covered in beer while doing reports through the frat lots and at Village Idiot, to a biscuit craze at Bojangles. Y’all welcomed this Yankee and then some. Thank you, SC. I truly can’t thank you enough.

My first day for my new job in RI will be on Aug. 7.
