On this #InternationalHumanRightsDay, I want to salute the activists, lawyers, political leaders, academicians and all those ordinary citizens who have refused to keep silent about torture, enforced disappearances and extrajudicial killings in Uganda. Please know that every small or big thing you do in the name of freedom and human rights counts. Aluta continua!
We welcome the decision of the US Government to sanction Gen. Museveni's officials who have engaged in gross human rights violations, including torture, enforced disappearances, and extrajudicial killings.
We're glad that the cry of the people of Uganda is being heard by the world. The travel restrictions as well as sanctions under the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) are a good reminder that there will be consequences to those who abuse rights with impunity- especially now that Uganda's institutions have been captured and are unable to hold them to account. We shall not stop demanding that the world sees Uganda's criminal regime for what it is..
This afternoon, I returned to office to a beautiful surprise; my first Christmas card this year and guess from who? The King. Tweyanzizza nnyo ayi Saabasajja Kabaka. OGUNDEGUNDE.
April 13, Dedicated Ugandans demonstrate at IMF chanting "stop funding a dictator". To stop Economic hit men (IMF, World Bank) from making Uganda more vulnerable to endless borrowings and debt.

We visited Mulago Hospital to check on Hon. Allan Ssewanyana who has been admitted there in a critical condition since Friday. Unfortunately, the police blocked us from accessing him. The continued persecution of our people is being recorded. Justice will be served some day.
Notice that it's a full house whenever Parliament debates 'disciplinary' action against Madam Anita Among's critics. But the MPs will be 'busy' elsewhere when Parliament is debating critical issues. Trust Among to raise a mob when she wants some mob justice against her 'enemies'!

RT @HEBobiwine: Pleased to spend some time with the newly elected Guild President of Kyambogo University, Comrade Wafula Edrine Koholo and his team. We had an interesting conversation about the historical mission of this generation.
I've attended the burial ceremony of Rev. Fr. Bro. Anatoli Wasswa in Kyotera — Masaka who recently died aged 97. I paid tribute to his remaining true to and honouring our African tradition — despite being a religious leader — which many Africans mistake for witchcraft.
Inclusiveness being one of our core values, we were pleased earlier today to welcome and share a meal with our brothers and sisters in the PWD community at our headquarters as we commemorated this year's International Day of Persons with Disabilities.
