I've also updated the project to unreal engine 5!

I’ve updated the mouse & keyboard controls to have Tremble attack based on the where the player clicks. Previously mouse and keyboard controls were just ‘keyboard’ controls and the arrow keys were used to attack.

I've made a smaller update to destruction FX and sounds. I wanted destroyed objects to have a satisfying ‘crunch’ and when they are destroyed. The old FX were pretty generic and flat in comparison.

Since I’ve been making some big updates to the art and environments I didn’t want to leave the Temple out. It’s a place where the player will constantly be visiting so I figure it deserves an update.

I really liked the concept for eyeball’s fight but I had to put a lot of thought into how this sort of thing would work with all of the new weapon types and abilities.

I agonized a lot over how to update Jackslot and ended up turning the boss into Manufactory. I’m also playing around with telegraphing some attacks. I'm going to keep an eye open for areas I think telegraphs may be helpful.

Here’s the update for Solder. As far as the general theme for the boss not much has changed. I dig the sword I made here so I’ll probably need to get around to adding it as a cosmetic item.
