Mr Kila, appointed pro-chancellor of MCIU in August 2025, has a long list of academic profiles that present him as a well-educated and widely travelled jurist, professor, scholar, accomplished professional, author, and public commentator of repute.

I missed the last metro in Istanbul once.
Phone at 4%. Didn’t speak Turkish. It was past midnight, pouring rain, and the streets felt endless.
My card kept declining because the bank thought it was fraud. Of course it did.
I was standing under a shop awning looking completely soaked and lost when an older man with a grocery bag stopped and asked me something I didn’t understand.
I just shook my head and pointed at my phone like an idiot.
He pulled out his own phone, opened the translator, and typed:
“You are okay?”
I typed back where I was trying to go.
He looked at the address, frowned, then motioned for me to walk with him.

@tourwithjosh1 I can't prove it but this guy was inspired by cana

As much as it is good that GRV is able to speak the native language in Lagos - Yoruba , there is no point allowing yourself to be baited. I would prefer he told the audience upfront that he understands the language when spoken to but he is not fluent speaking and he sticks to communicating in English.

There is no point pretending to make a point in what is already obvious and thereby giving opponents content. Those who would vote for you would do so regardless of what language you are able to speak.

I admire his courage but at the end of the day it is - Femi Hamzat for Lagos 2027.

[Prince Adeshina @RealAdeshina]

I am not interested in anything Yoruba.

[eDeji @Macvlard]

@FabrizioRomano This is typical to type where he loves up on you just to disarm you from seeing him coming , then boooom ,he wrecks your heart.

[eDeji @Macvlard]

@jameZpaedaE @ultimate_kombo Provide one verifiable reference where either the EPL or the panel confirmed City cooperated with the investigation. Not what City as a club is saying .

[eDeji @Macvlard]

@Omojuwa Wenger was a hypocrite on his accusations of financial doping . I actually also understand why the rest of the league would never care about the facts of the Chelsea case but be eager to lump Chelsea and city together when in actual fact the cases are different.

[Enitan Bello @enitandev]

@Macvlard You get!

That’s all he needed to not sink into the depths of depression. It also says a lot about him and what he means to her. Women don’t usually trust empty men.

[eDeji @Macvlard]

@enitandev I felt his relief at that moment. Me in his shoes and in that exact moment, hearing those kind of words from the most important human to me ; would definitely be a relief with half the problem already looking solved.

[eDeji @Macvlard]

@Chelsea_Queenn I don't mind winning our next 5 games by just 1 - 0 , but can we please just close our legs 😭

[eDeji @Macvlard]

I was on transit when the Super eagles where playing. Upon arriving my destination I entered a supermarket to pick somethings. Checked the scores while waiting to pay and unconsciously exclaimed Jesus upon seeing the 3 - 0 FT scores. Those around suddenly asked what happened, Omo come and here hissing when they found out what I was reacting to. That experience left me numb about the whole super eagles result of yesterday. God help 🇳🇬 .

[eDeji @Macvlard]

@SkySportsNews Maybe the FA/EPL should Just Scrap it's application of the FFP/PSR rules and allow the clubs to do whatever they like with finances while the EPL focuses on what happens on the field for 90mins.

[eDeji @Macvlard]

We have lost very good players leave due to the managers inability to accomodate them. I pray that would not be the case of Estevao. The reality however is that something has to give ; Either Alonso becomes flexible with eg a 4231 to create room for the likes of Estavao or stick to his currently unreliable 343 and watch @ChelseaFC loose the likes of Estavao .

[eDeji @Macvlard]

Pep Gurdiola legacy is involved here so Kombo cannot be open to reason. It is very important that adults learn never to follow the bandwagon like he mentioned, but his argument is very flawed. City claims innocence yet refuse to cooperatie with the investigation. Does that sound like a club that is innocent?

[eDeji @Macvlard]

@Santoss_CFC I really hope Alonso had good reviews and took lessons during the extended international break. It would be tragic to watch the team repeat the same mistakes, using the same tactics or set up that has made the team inconsistent and vulnerable. #CFC
