Hey @DarbyMcDevitt , here's an interpretation I had for the ending scene with Basim. I also posted it on on Reddit. I might be really wrong with this, but could u pls have a look ?
@SerenityNow19@shantanub A rational person strives to hold beliefs proportional to the evidence. Falling back on faith, especially for life's biggest questions, means giving up on truth seeking in favor of comfort. Why choose to be irrational, where being precise and accurate matters most?
@SerenityNow19@shantanub You're conflating religious faith with belief as a whole. Belief simply means holding something to be true..and when it's grounded in logic, evidence, and good reasons, the belief is considered to be "rational". +
@NehaNihari48157@AgentSaffron If this is very important, then I would love to believe it as well! And if you know more than I do, then it is incumbent on you to teach me, give me good reasons and evidence. Where is it?
@NehaNihari48157@AgentSaffron Will all the people of the West, of Africa, of Japan, and Korea also get their lives fucked? And then will you show up in their lives to teach them about this cultural concept? You have no evidence, so all you can do is spread fear. +
@charvvvvi It's very difficult, but hang in there, I'm in the same position. As a silver lining tho, when you leave this time, you'll do so with the conviction of being stable and independent, so that you are never forced to come back
@SudsG5 that anyone with a mind can apprehend, even someone from the West (hence, they are "true"). How does that apply to stuff like "Pitrupaksh"? What evidence/reasons do you have for these practices, in this day and age?
@SudsG5 You didn't prove anything with this. Yes, there are parts of the Hindu (and larger Indian - Jain, Buddhist etc) spritual heritage that speak to deeper truths about the nature of mind and consciousness, but these are truths +
🐨 If we go to year-end shows, it was quite boring cause it was just us. Now that we have a family, even Illit had given a CD and all
🐨 So I think it's a good thing that we now have a (hybe) family, I guess this is why people marry and start a family, cause you need a family
