The combination of continuously dry weather and increased outdoor water use can threaten Madison's water supply levels. Together we can conserve water. Visit Madison Water Utility's website to set usage alerts and discover more ways to save: https://t.co/zLCCGZh7R0

WE GOT MAIL! "...I've seen firsthand just how incredible your team is when a pipe burst near our house, water flooded the street, and only hours later it looked as if nothing happened. You all made it look effortless, and our city is lucky to have you." - Rebecca
Heading to Brat Fest this weekend? Refill your water bottle at Madison Water Utility's "water table." Find the table along the pathway near the Kid's Zone. A BIG thank you to MWU's BC who helped ready the table for action. We are so lucky to have him.
Running errands is always better with your bestie! MWU's customer service office at 119 East Olin Avenue is open Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4 PM. Staff are available to process billing, start or stop water service, and address municipal utility questions.
Congratulations to Tom Rosemeyer, Madison Water Utility's new Operations Manager. Tom began at MWU as a seasonal/hourly in 1991 and has served as a General Supervisor since 2016. He's looking forward to new challenges and the opportunity for continued improvements.
It's National No Dirty Dishes Day! Did you know it takes more water to wash dishes by hand than with a dishwasher? It also takes 2 times more energy to wash dishes by hand with hot water. A great reason to skip the pre-rinse and party!
Congratulations to our partners in water, the Madison Metropolitan Sewerage District, on their amazing Learning Lavatories inside the Madison Market. Only sharing a few sneak peek photos. Want to keep this gem of art meets learning & inspiration a fun surprise for your visit!
Our Generation X outreach specialist had a chance to talk Water Utility careers with Generation Alpha students today. They had fun trying the trend of writing content using each other's vibe. 🥰
In Madison, the water we drink, process our food, & use for so many other things, comes from underground. While we have good quality water & high capacity at our wells now, studies like this one are essential. Keep conserving. Keep testing. Keep improving.https://t.co/yfaLgzjn3H
Is it time for your toilet to graduate to a High Efficiency Toilet model? The Madison Water Utility's Toilet Rebate Program offers up to a $100 bill credit towards the purchase of a new toilet. Every time you flush, you'll save water and money! https://t.co/DOHS9MVe8l
Save money and serve the best water possible at your next event with a 5-gallon sports cooler. Throw in reusable glasses for those who forgot their reusable water bottle! With just a few minutes of time to clean the cooler and put the glasses in the dishwasher, it's a win-win.
Day 2 of Drinking Water Week! It's always a great day when you can spend it talking about water with third grade students at @Anana Elementary. Some students were curious about protecting our water from road salt. Others wanted to know where water in plastic bottles comes from.
Happy Drinking Water Week!! It's quiet here at the MWU office! On a typical day our staff collect and test about 70 samples at well sites & public places. Last year, we performed a total of 32,703 tests on 26,624 samples. A quiet office = we're out ensuring safe drinking water.
Congratulations and Best Wishes to our General Manager Krishna Kumar on his retirement from Madison Water Utility. Yesterday we gathered to thank him for his dedication and support over the last 5 years to our mission, staff, and City. We have no doubt he will keep busy!!
A low-flow showerhead typically saves an average household 2,700 gallons of water annually. By reducing flow from a standard 2.5
gallons per minute (GPM) to 2.0 GPM or less, it can also save over 330 kilowatt-hours of electricity yearly, enough to power a house for over 11 days
MWU connected with over 2,500 students at the Mifflin Street Block Party; handing out and chatting about water with a very grateful crowd. It was awesome to reconnect with two engineering students who interned and completed their capstone projects with us last year!
